But, if you don’t have a Wii U, then there are a couple of ways you can play these games on your Laptop or PC. CDs scratch, systems break, and a plethora of other mishaps that take the console out of commission. My point (the point) of emulation is to have a backup for deprecated hardware. Heck you can even light two candles infront of your monitor and the remotes wont know the difference. Also, the Wii controllers will pair with PC fairly easily, and the sensor bar is just a couple infrared LEDs that can be easily mimicked. For about 15 bucks I was able to purchase some USB controllers, load up an emulator, and play my favorite childhood games all over again without the hastle of the NES cartridge dance (you know the one!). The system will turn on, and on occasion will actually play a game.but I think being in a basement for 10 years let some moisture in and caused some damage that I am not willing to uncover. with a stack of ~150 game cartridges that I had purchased over the years.
